Child Labour In Pakistan

Thousands of child workers work in surgical instruments workshops in the city of Sialkot(the city of Pakistan) .The processes performed here are
mainly grinding  and polishing without any protective clothing.
They work in cramped condition on the floor
.This is a very labour intensive job .as each of the millions of instruments produced every year has to reach a high level of specification.. No machine can provide that finish. The steel used as a raw material is imported from Europe and in some cases partly manufactured instruments from Germany to be worked on in Sialkot .The children earn approximately US $ 1 for an eight-hour working day. labour
